In the name of fundraising, more than 20 chefs from across the U.S. came to Chris Shepherd’s Montrose restaurants on Sept. 30.

Thanks to their help — as well as donations, a silent auction and ticket sales — the 2018 Southern Smoke Festival hosted about 1,500 guests and raised about $425,000 for nonprofits in the span of just a few hours on the last Sunday in September.
