Houston Symphony names new executive director and CEO

The Houston Symphony announced Jan. 12 that John Mangum has been selected as the organization’s new executive director and CEO.

He starts his new job on April 16, according to a press release, and succeeds Mark Hanson, who stepped down over the summer to lead the San Francisco Symphony.
