Another fire breaks out at chemical plant near Houston, more expected

Another fire has broken out at Arkema Inc.’s Crosby chemical plant, which has lost power due to significant flooding from Harvey.

Organic peroxides — which are highly volatile — have been at risk of exploding because back-up refrigeration systems have failed. The plant and everyone within a 1.5-mile radius was evacuated earlier this week.
